 | Being a member of the bnet community for a good while ive noticed that a lot of myth "things" are usually four letters long, while this may seem like an assanine and pointless article(it is) lets look at the facts for a second: Ok well first of all "myth" is four letters long, it is also a "game" and its initials are "m2sb". I have also come across a strange correlation with the "unit"'s of myth. The most basic unit the warrior we have cut down into a four letter form of "warr" it couldn't be "war" or "warri"(yeah that makes sense D:) but "warr". This is true for other units aswell. We rename archers to "arch"'s and dwarfs to "dorf"'s. Then there is "mort"'s "lock"'s "trow" "ghol"'s "myrk"'s "myrm"'s "jman" and everything being able to be a "hero". Then theres the gameplay aspects of myth. Archers use "fire", ghols use "puss", dorfs throw "bombs", Locks hurl "shot"'s, Trow "kick", wights "blow",and herons and jmen "heal". Then if you actually look at the maps and gametypes you have to keep the "hill" in "koth" and lmoth, in "terr"(ies) you have to keep the "flag"'s, in "capt"'s you have to have the "ball"s and on some variations your supposed to "stay" on the "base"/"fort". We also have annoying mods like "wwII" and "gfgg", not to mention the start of it all "raid". Ok then we move to the silly saying's that us mythers say: We often say "omfg", "loel", "lail", "play", "neat", "rape", "beef", "core", "rofl", "lmao", "haha", "hehe", "capt", "boot", "t00b", "h00r", "wank", "fuck", "shit", "anal", "dick", "cock", "fukr", "slut", "good", "blow", "sekz", "sexy", "cexi", "lose", "rush", "camp", "liez", "rawr", "100%"(as in effort), "boos" "drop", "host", "rank", "ch3t", "nice", "MOVE"(!!!), "dead", "help", "suck", "bone", "fake" "nade", "stab", "gojw", "stfu", and most importantly "neen", just to name a few... Then look at some of myth player names, many of them shortened: You have "limp(liep)", "odin", "phod", "bale", "jeff", "skel", "vips", "mike", "dora"/"nate", "monk", "bloo", "ammo", "kime", "loki", "lina", "bull"(s), "koga", "myrk", "flat", "rami", "cave", "torm", "thor", "papa", "serv", "bish", "chen", "pooh", "orca", "berk", "nero", "jush", "fire", "grum", "mori", "shai", "ruin", "qtip", "tree", "HeRo", "lone","nine", "kith", "seek", "pele", "pred", "sand", "pala", "mand", "dark", "arma", "enig", "zedo", "dean", "milk", "malk", "ymir", "trib", "wark", "joan", "cald", "mech", "zeph", and of course "okko" just to name a "few(lol)". To further emphasive my point, just look at the failure/success rate for teams with four letters, it seems to have a reciprical effect. There was "desf" which so many love, "exca"(lol?) , "GWAR", "azur"(<3 killer), "LotN", "MiiB", "swat", "torc", "mage", "82nd", "LofG", "+Dg+", "whoa", "/\/\ot/\/\", "1984", "Temp", "saif", "xmen","ARMY" and who can forget the cute and lovable "deer". while only: "Omag", "spin", "snap", "poop","9cof", "cghw" and "58th" being the exceptions of the four letter curse(plus a couple more i cant remember). You'll even notice your local area BNA's are in four letter love. There is BNA: "pupp", "nate", "Ripp", "eric", "mord", "fisj", "mike", "jack", "jedi", "matt", "jess", "vodi", "joel", "kori", "pyth", and "lone". Youd actually be suprised what players are BNA's and they are active still, they just dont care anymore :D And if you need any further evidence of this four letter conspiracy, just think about the fact sam's hotline is "sshl", maybe that is the origin of this whole conspiracy... ...or maybe i have way to much free time at work...
